A semi-dry snorkel is a hybrid snorkel with a splash guard (wave deflector) at the top to block surface water, but allowing water in if fully submerged, making it a good balance for surface snorkeling with occasional dips.

The flexible bottom tube allows the mouthpiece to rotate and be positioned for comfort, but does not swivel.

You can dive under water with the ScubaPro Nexus Snorkel - Semi Dry, however, it will fill up with water. If you would like a snorkel that will not fill when submerged, you could go with a dry snorkel such as the ScubaPro Spectra Snorkel - Dry (https://www.diversdirect.com/p/scubapro-spectra-dry-snorkel).
