Purchased this a couple months ago as we were going on a dive trip to Cozumel and I wanted to eliminate some weight. Works great! So nice being able to eliminate another hose love that this is attached easily right to my BCD. Also recommend atomic z3 reg very lightweight and love the swivel.

This secondary air source allows for one less hose being required from your tank, meaning less to get knotted! The idea of it being integrated into your BCD control means your dive buddy doesn't need to panic were your secondary is as its always in your hand

This is the 2nd best Octo set up on the market. It trims you down by minimizing the number of hoses around you because it is integrated into the BC inflator hose. It breathes incredibly well, and its very easy to remove and wash out. The hose also allows you to wash out the BC through the hose with a regular watering hose. The only reason I say it is the second best is because Atomic has a higher end Octo with more titanium parts. Regardless you can't go wrong with this one and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of a new set up.

purchased the ss1 last month. i love the fact that i eliminated a hose. very easy to clean. works and breathes great. breathing is very smooth even though it is not balanced.

In an emergency, you would just need to get a little close for comfort! However, the safest practice would be to carry an octopus in addition to this item.
