The idea for the Paralenz camera started back in 2015 when a group of divers began to wonder why there were no action cameras made specifically for scuba diving. Only a year later, those divers created their first working camera. In the years to follow, the Paralenz camera would be tested by 250 divers from 38 countries and updated accordingly. Finally in 2019, the Paralenz action cameras were released to the dive community to collect high quality underwater media.
Of course, Paralenz isn’t just about capturing amazing video. This company seeks to further scientific discovery for aquatic wildlife by sharing your videos with marine biologists and oceanographers throughout multiple conservation organizations to help save the ocean—and all you need to do is record your dive! The camera will record your location, depth, and the water temperature for precision in scientific data collection. And remember, Every Dive Counts!
