That 3 panel hood has toggles so you can cinch it down for heavy wind or let it loose when you prefer. Toggles on the bottom side seams also mean no worries about wind filling up your jacket. You can tighten that hem to keep wind and the elements out which also keeps you warmer. A zippered left chest pocket allows you to keep necessities close at hand with easy access.
