This Aqua Lung SolAfx Wetsuit is designed for lady divers who are ready to take their underwater adventures to greater (colder) extremes. This wetsuit features an 8mm thickness around the core for maximum thermal protection where it’s needed most and 7mm thickness throughout the extremities and hood. An abundance of features accompany this suit to ensure it keeps you properly warm and comfortable while you’re off scuba diving in Scotland, Iceland, or even the Great Lakes. For one, Aqua Lung has bid adieu to that movement-restrictive edge tape and instead are using a X-Tend cuff finish for an extremely durable and highly flexible edge that keeps your movement feeling as natural and free as possible.

We know, we know… You’re thinking, “An 8mm suit? Natural, free movement? No way!” Well, yes way, actually. The neoprene used for this suit is called AquaFlex and it’s a highly stretchy neoprene that refuses to sacrifice function (keeping you warm) for movement. The material isn’t the only thing keeping you comfortable enough to wiggle around, the cut of the suit is specifically designed to mirror the natural flexion of your elbows and knees. This way, you no longer have that uncomfortable bunching of your suit when you bend your joints. Just a final note on the material before moving on to the warmer aspects of the suit: this neoprene is PAH-free and non-petroleum-based so that it’s far more environmentally friendly than its predecessors.

You’ve worked up the nerve to jump into some seriously cold water, and the Aqua Lung SolAfx Wetsuit is made to keep you safe and warm from the time you jump in to the time you climb out. There is not a piece of this suit that has been left behind when it comes to keeping a watertight seal. There’s the “Skin-In” gasket seals in the forearms and calves that prevent water entry, and the upper-body water dam and water-resistant zipper along the chest helps to prevent water exchange. The Liquid Fusion seam technology keeps the seams watertight while maintaining durability and strength, and even the integrated hood features a G2 Vent technology that allows potentially trapped air bubbles from your regulator to escape without letting any cold water in. And we’ve all been on a dive where we felt that cold water sensation trickle down our spines and wake us up a bit—like when your cousin would drop an ice cube down the back of your shirt at the family cookout. The SolAfx Wetsuit features a back pad to assist in keeping the back of the neck sealed and strong against surprise water leaks.

When it’s time to doff your suit, it will slide off like butter (just as easily as it slid on) thanks to the ultra-soft inner lining that’s gentle on the skin.
