The X-stream performance, comfort and lightweight design are the incredible result of sixty passionate years at the service of diving. The Mares X-stream is truly a leap into the future, and changes forever how we envision the creation of a fin. More than 2 years of resources, experiments and testing and four Mares patents all concentrated in one unique product.  

The Optimized Pivoting Blade system (OPB) allows the blade to maintain an optimal angle throughout the kicking cycle, whereas traditional fins achieve this only during a small portion of the cycle, OPB produces a constant thrust, which minimizes fatigue and produces fluid movement through the water.  

The ergonomically designed foot pocket delivers maximum power and evenly distributes pressure over the foot to minimize fatigue. The foot pocket interior features internal ribbing that improves fit, eliminates foot suction and prevents foot pocket flexing, while transmitting more power to the blade.  

The Mares X-Stream uses Mares patented design ABS Plus Buckles (Adjustable Binding System). It only takes one quick movement to easily open or close these buckles, even when wearing thick neoprene gloves. The double button release prevents the buckles from accidently opening making them the most user friendly system on the market.  

The Super-Channel is designed for the diver who wants the perfect blend of power and efficiency in one fin. The new blade design with a large central Super-channel and two traditional lateral channels provide excellent thrust while maintaining hi-efficiency and minimizing leg fatigue. The blade uses Tri-Material Construction, constructed of Techno-Polymers and Thermoplastic rubber for extended durability.  

The overall length between 23" to 25.2" (60 to 64 cm) depending on size and weights 2.9 lbs (1.34 kg); fins come with a 24 month limited warranty.

How it Works – Returns/Exchanges

Divers Direct will gladly refund the purchase price or exchange any item purchased from us that is defective, the wrong size, color, style, fit, or does not meet your expectations for any reason. (Excludes all shipping charges).

We accept returns and exchanges at any of our retail locations OR via delivery to our fulfillment center regardless of how or where you made your original purchase with us.

Please call 800-DIVE-USA to check availability for all exchanges. All refunds will be made to the original source of payment.  Refund checks will take 15-30 days to process.

1. Please send returns in ORIGINAL and UNUSED condition. Merchandise that is not in new condition or purchased more than 30 days ago may be subject to a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price or may not be accepted. There is a 20% restocking fee for all returned camera and photo accessories, and all Brownies Explorers.

Bathing suits are items of personal hygiene and it is a Divers Direct policy not to accept returns or exchanges without the original tags still on the suit. Bathing suits may be returned for manufacturer’s defects within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt.

Mares Shipping Policy: All Mares products on our website are to be shipped only to U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. Orders with Mares products to countries outside of the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean will not be processed and may be canceled.
