It is our belief that there are four important elements in learning to SCUBA dive and continuing to enjoy the sport of SCUBA diving for many years beyond your initial training:
You can learn all of the concepts necessary to be a safe SCUBA diver at your own pace in the comfort of your own home, with the materials provided in your Open Water Diver kit. You will then have the opportunity to review these concepts and your understanding of them in classroom sessions with your SCUBA dive Instructor.
You will learn and demonstrate all required SCUBA skills under the careful supervision of your Instructor, in confined and open water settings, with an emphasis on attaining comfort through repetition. Our Instructors will NEVER rush you through your SCUBA certification and training or do anything to make you feel uncomfortable!
You will be coached on the proper use and function of the Total Diving System during your certification class as it relates to your comfort and safety in the water. Our highly-trained Associates and SCUBA Instructors will also assist you in selecting a SCUBA Diving System that meets your needs and your budget.
You will have a wide range of opportunities to further your diving education and participate in additional confidence-building activities upon completion of your Open Water certification course. Getting started is simple! We have regularly-scheduled Open Water certification courses at our Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando locations. If you just want to learn more before registering for a course, please call or visit either of the locations listed below to schedule an orientation session with one of our Instructors or Education Specialists.
Prior to attending your first classroom session, you will complete a registration form and brief medical questionnaire. One of our Associates will review the items in the Open Water materials kit with you, and advise you regarding the home study portion of your training. Finally, he or she will assist you with the selection of your personal snorkeling system, consisting of mask, fins, snorkel and wetsuit.
