ATTENTION

During a recent engineering audit, Brownie’s Third Lung discovered inconsistencies with some components used in our direct drive low-pressure (hookah) compressors. These inconsistencies may result in premature wear of compressor components and possible cessation of air flow.

What products are affected?
Any Brownie’s gas-powered direct drive hookah compressor assemblies manufactured since July, 2007 beginning with S/N 14421. Models include F280X, F390X, C270, C390, CTD390.

Additionally, dual-head electric direct drive compressor assemblies manufactured since July, 2007, beginning with S/N 14344. Models include E250, EC2 (all versions).

The serial numbers are printed on a metal tag riveted on the rim of the yellow storage case or on the deck of our commercial models.

What products are NOT affected?
All E140, E150 and EC1 (all versions) compressor systems. Hoses, regulators, gear bags and other accessories.

Questions:

Can I visually determine if my hookah compressor is affected?
The situation involves part dimensions that are measured to .001 inches. It is impossible to determine if the parts are acceptable by visual inspection alone. We prefer to thoroughly inspect and test every system.

What do I need to do?
Ship your compressor assembly to Brownie’s for inspection and possible modification. See Packing Instructions below. NOTE: ALL GAS & OIL MUST BE COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM THE ENGINE PRIOR TO PACKING AND SHIPPING.

We will need the following information to process your request: your name, shipping address (PO Boxes may not be used for shipping purposes), phone number, email address (optional), serial number of the compressor to be sent for inspection.

• Brownie’s will inspect and/or upgrade any Brownie’s compressor system as listed in the section of "affected product" above. Labor and parts needed to perform the inspection and any covered modification will:

  provided at no charge to the customer. We will upgrade any compressor component necessary to bring the system up to current engineering and performance standards.

  Note: Repairs needed due to the ingestion of foreign materials (including salt, water, sand, etc) into the compressor assembly are not covered by this program and may be performed at additional cost.

  Note: Repairs/upgrades to the engine are not covered by this program but may be performed at additional cost by request by the consumer.

• Brownie’s will perform a test of the compressor and provide a verification report/tag attached to the compressor.
• Brownie’s will pack and ship the compressor, freight and insurance prepaid, to the domestic address specified by the customer. Systems shipped to international/offshore addresses may incur additional charges which are the responsibility of the customer.
• Brownie’s will renew your warranty for 1 year, effective on the date the system is invoiced and shipped from our location.

Brownie’s will not be responsible for any damages to systems or components due to improper packing or shipping.
