Intrigued by the idea of scuba diving, but not quite ready to commit to a full Open Water Course? This is an ideal way to get your first taste of what scuba diving is all about. This is an introductory, no prior experience needed, non-certification program designed to provide sufficient training to enable you to enjoy scuba diving in confined or open water under closely controlled conditions.
Overview
After a short classroom presentation of basic diving safety and knowledge, you’re in the water with your instructor learning and practicing your new scuba skills. Next, you’ll go on an open water dive with your instructor. Registration
Simply contact the Divers Direct store of your choice to register for this course. If there are no classes listed on our Event Calendar that meet your needs, one of our store managers will work with you to schedule a class.Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.Inclusions
•Academic class session.•Use of student scuba gear (If you do not have your own mask, fins and snorkel…we will provide them for this program).
•Pool or shallow water training facilities and fees.
•1 Open Water dive and accompanying facility fees .

•Facility and/or boat fees for the open water dive•Certification fee for the appropriate dive agency
Important Information
•Some medical conditions will prevent you from diving. Some of the more common conditions are Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy and heart or lung conditions. Pregnancy is also a contraindication to diving. Some other medical conditions may also be a problem. If you are unsure about any specific condition, please contact us.•The minimum age to participate in this course is 10.
