Your course is divided into two parts:
•The academic part of the course consists of one academic session where you and your instructor will cover the details of your upcoming dives and review the academic material from your student manual.
•Your advanced dives are done over a two day period. As part of your certification, you will complete a minimum of five or sixopen water dives, depending upon the certification agency.

Simply contact the Divers Direct store of your choice to register for this course. If there are no classes listed on our Event Calendar that meet your needs, one of our store managers will work with you to schedule a class.

You must be certified as an Open Water Diver or equivalent to enroll in this class. Prior to class, you will need to read the entire class manual and complete all homework assignments.

•Advanced Open Water Student Materials
•Use of tanks and air fills
•Academic class session(s)
•Certification fee for the appropriate dive agency

•Facility and/or boat fees for the open water dives
•Personal dive gear, to include mask, fins, snorkel and exposure protection (wetsuit) appropriate for the local conditions, as well as personal BCD, regulator with alternate air source, SPG and compass (dive computer preferred), and a primary and backup dive light if completeing a night dive as part of your course.

•Some medical conditions will prevent you from diving. Some of the more common conditions are Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy and heart or lung conditions. Pregnancy is also a contraindication to diving. Some other medical conditions may also be a problem. If you are unsure about any specific condition, please contact us.
•The minimum age to participate in this course is 12.
