I had the old 500 series and after a while the programming started to malfuntion. I hope this is an improvement over the old one.

This is a great camera for the Diver who likes to take pictures as oppossed to the the Photographer who likes to dive. The system is modular and you can add wide angle and one or two strobes. It compares very favorable with the SLR's for most pictures and the new 6.1 gives you great enlargements of almost any image. Travels very well and isn't a hassle to dive with, even in current.

This is my first underwater camera and I love it. It is equally good above and below water. The strobe makes taking pictures in pitch darkness amazing
