I have exhausted myself with this camera for underwater use. Compared to the other cameras designed for underwater use in the market it's a not competitive. My impression is that Snapper thought they could enter the market by developing an above water camera, put a watertight casing on it and call it an underwater camera. The Snapper DV as sold is not designed for underwater video or photography at all. The camera has no programable settings or considerations like lighting (white temp)for underwater use. Unlike thier competiors that allow one to set the camera for different depths thier camera only has setting for cloudy, sunny or flouresent lighting. The competing underwater cameras in the same market allow one to set lighting by how deep one is. It's difficult to adjust a camera at 60' depth and ask yourself does this look like a cloudy day or a flouresenct light. All my videos from Roatan look deep deep blue or grey. I have e-mail the company numerous times asking them how do I use this camera underwater. Their response is always "Thank you for your inputs and insight, we strive to improve our product and appreciate your comments". All I ask is for them to tell me how to set the lighting underwater and they ingore my questions completely. When I press them harder they recomnend that I buy the underater light attachment at another [$]. At [$] for the combined Snapper DV and lighting kit I could buy a real underwater system, not an above-water-camera sold as a underwater camera. Do not buy this product.
