Great Sturdy Gun

I am brand new to spear fishing. On my first trip out I speared an 18lb halibut.

I added on the JBL reel because I was halibut fishing and had heard that they can put up quite a fight if they get away from you.

One thing about this gun is that it is a long gun, but with that extra length comes extra power. The extra length may not be necessary in all environments, but for halibut on a sandy bottom it worked fine.

The trigger mechanism works smoothly, the safety is right there by your thumb for easy on and easy off. The bands pull back easily under water, and also release easily at the end of the dive.

All in all I'm very happy with this spear gun and would recommend it.
