Loved it!
By Donna from Colonial Heights, VA on 11/13/2006

I'm a new diver, and my boyfriend suggested this snorkel. I tried it, liked it, but didn't really appreciate it until I borrowed his "non-dry" snorkel after using this one. I think I'm spoiled.

The snorkel was good in keeping water out of the top but the clip that holds it to the mask was not secure and I lost the whole thing on my last dive.

Good for shollow snorklers
By North Palm ArtVerified Purchaser from North Palm on 10/24/2006
Pros:
Comfortable Mouthpiece, Ergonomic Design, Purge Valve, Resistant To Flooding
Cons:
Not for REAL snorklers
Best Uses:
Pool, Topside viewing, Vacation

PROS: The snorkel works as advertised! It is a very dry snorkel! Of course the time I used it the water wasn't that rough. But NO water got in when I was diving down while snorkeling! This might be a great snorkel for scuba diving for the long swims back to the beach/boat.
CONS: I said this snorkel "might" be a great snorkel for scuba because I'm a big guy and when I used it for snorkeling and I came up for air - the breathing wasn't as easy as my old snorkel. On a couple of occasions upon breaching the surface, I sucked in some serious air and sucked the float up and plugged up the snorkel. But the biggest problem I had was since the snorkel was completely dry - when diving down past 14 feet - the snorkel tried to suck my lips and tongue in. The pressure in the snorkel was 14.7psi (sea level) and when one swims (snorkels) down to 16 feet the pressure outside of the snorkel is 22 psi. Therefore, at 16 feet depth there is 7+ psi pressure on your lips. While that is bearable - the pressure would be very unbearable at 30+ feet.
SUMMARY: This snorkel would be good for beginning snorkelers who are afraid of water in the snorkel and won't be diving down past 10 feet. It would also be a great snorkel for smaller or very fit Scuba divers who won't be sucking in 20 cu's of air per breath. I've done some wreak dives from the beach in San Diego where I was sucking some serious air going through the surf and on the swim out - I am glad I did NOT have this snorkel then!

Top of the line product!
By chamoiscan from Bangor, ME on 10/24/2006
Pros:
Durable, Good Value, High Quality
Cons:
none whatsoever

I read about this snorkel and thought I'd give it a try. It more than lived up to the promises in the ad! It makes snorkeling so much easier. The mouthpiece is comfortable; the color is easy to spot so makes me visible to nearby boats, etc. The price was great.. a lot less than I expected to pay. I liked it so much, I bought a second one as a gift for a family member.
