I have 3 of these reels with broken triggers and no on sells replacement parts!!!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
On the very first dive with this unit it bumped against the dive platform when returning to the boat and shattered the outside of the reel leaving a tangled mess of string floating behind the boat. It would be much more functional with an aluminum or ss metal housing. This equipment may be functional in a closed environment (Training), but I would not recommend its use in open water diving.
