No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This light states it is equivalent to 25watt. I belive this is not so
I have 2 Darkbuster 24Watt HID and 1 Light Cannon 100HID, the Darkbuster is at least 2 times brighter and has a much wider spot angle. The light cannons have a very small spot.
Darbuster 24Watt HID is way better and you can charge the battery without disassembling the whole light.

We've bought 3 of these so far. The last one to replace stolen dive gear. We have had issues with them not always turning on. Have to hit them on our hand to get them to work. But, overall they are a great product & we will buy again.

High Quality, much brighter

Expensive, fragile bulb

I haven't broken the bulb or anything, just been sternly warned that it can't be turned on and off constantly, just leave it on for the pertinent part of the dive. This light really shines a *lot* brighter than a Sunlight C8 in cavern and wreck situations. I haven't tried it for a night dive yet but I imagine it's just as good. If your dive buddies have a basic light, they will drool over this one!
